Jodie Meeks

Jodie Meeks is one of the best shooters in the league right now, and with a new change of scenery at Los Angeles he looks primed to have a big year.

The Bulls' strange summer

With Derrick Rose on the sidelines, the Bulls have been excellent in the past. Can they keep it up?

The Bulls really know how to cap off two straight years of having the best record: With one of the league's worst offseason. Though Derrick Rose-- still recovering from his knee season-- would be the only starter missing in the line-up early in the upcoming season, but the bench has been blown up. Bench Mobsters Omir Asik, Kyle Korver, C.J. Watson and Ronnie Brewer are all gone. That's the crew that, along with Taj Gibson, won plenty of games for Chicago over the last two years by overwhelming opposing second units with tremendous defense and an offense built on fastbreaks and Korver's shooting.

Chicago has restocked with Nate Robinson, Vladimir Radmanovic, Marco Belinelli and Kirk Hinrich, leading some to wonder whether the Bulls have been making personnel decisions with the luxury tax, not a championship, in mind.

Paul Pierce:" Ray Allen still my bro"

Boston Celtics captain Paul Pierce admitted he's "a little bitter" about Ray Allen's decision to go to Miami and said it will be "weird" going up against him on opening night next season.

However, Pierce expressed gratitude for what Allen brought to Boston, including helping the Celtics win a world title.

"Ray made the decision for him," Pierce told the team's official website Thursday in his first public offseason comments. "That's what it's all about: You get in these situations, you become a free agent and you make a decision based on what's best for you and your family. Ray will always be a brother for me. If it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't be wearing a championship ring. So the things he was able to do for this organization will never be forgotten."

Asked if he has talked to Allen since he spurned Boston's two-year, $12 million offer to sign with Miami for half the value, Pierce said, "A couple texts. I'm a little bitter that he went to Miami, but he's still a brother of mine."
